THE RED STREET

The girl in glasses had lit the rug in her house. Her beloved was unfaithful to her.

She was nervous. Another was getting in her way.

She was screaming and crying sitting in the doorway of her room.

The night. He did not come.

She, distraught, breathed heavily on his portrait.

He came back. He came back and went. The weeks passed and every time he went away more. She was upset, very upset. But she was waiting for him, and she hoped that he was the same that one night in the rain picked her up and brought her out of the desolation. She took his hand and trusted him.

He was lounging on the couch. She got close for a kiss. She wanted to feel him. The cold of his lips made her shiver. The scent of him made her feel on edge.

—Do you want a coffee?

—Okay.

She knew how it could all end.

She dressed up beautiful.

It was blowing a light breeze. In the distance she could see her friends and the red street.
